A Studio Made for Plano’s Expectant Mothers
Ana Lanier Portrait Studio is located in Carrollton, just north of Dallas, a convenient drive from Plano and the rest of the North Dallas area.
If you’re expecting in Plano and looking for more than a quick photo session, the studio experience is fully guided from start to finish, so you can simply show up and be photographed at your best.
Many of my maternity clients travel here from Plano and other North Dallas communities for a session that feels more like a styled editorial shoot than a quick photoshoot.

Your maternity session is planned around you from our very first conversation. Professional hair and makeup, access to my studio wardrobe, personalized styling and fully guided posing are all part of the experience, with multiple looks created along the way.
You don’t need to arrive with a plan. We’ll map out your looks together ahead of time, and every selected image is hand-retouched afterward so your gallery feels polished, timeless and completely you.
Wardrobe, Styling and Personalized Looks
You’ll have access to my studio’s maternity wardrobe, including flowing gowns, fabrics, bodysuits and accessories curated specifically for editorial maternity portraits.
Because we can create multiple looks within a single session, your gallery can move from soft and romantic to bold and fashion-forward, styled around what makes you feel most like yourself.
You Don’t Have to Know How to Pose
If the thought of being photographed makes you nervous, you are not alone. Every pose is fully guided in the studio, from where your hands rest to how you turn toward the light, so you never have to figure it out on your own.
You don’t need to practice poses or know your best angles ahead of time. You’ll be guided from head to toe into flattering, natural positions, so you can simply relax and let the session unfold.
Professional Hair and Makeup, Included
Every maternity session includes professional hair and makeup, so you feel polished and camera-ready before we even begin. Your artist stays with you throughout the session for touch-ups between looks.
When multiple looks are part of your session, your hair can be restyled along the way, so each finished look feels complete from the top down.
A Range of Fashion-Forward Looks
Maternity photography does not have to mean one traditional look. Within a single session, your gallery can move between soft and romantic, elegant, dramatic, minimalist and fashion-forward styling.
Editorial black and white portraits and images with your partner are part of that same range, so your gallery reflects more than one version of you.

For most clients, I recommend scheduling your maternity session between 27–32 weeks. This is usually when your bump is beautifully defined while you’re still comfortable enough to move through different poses and looks.

Not necessarily! For full-service maternity sessions, you’ll have access to my studio wardrobe, including a variety of gowns, fabrics, bodysuits and accessories. We’ll plan your looks ahead of time so you know exactly what you need to bring, if anything.
